Jillian Lanier: funky fashion dance party!
Brooklyn-based handmade clothing designer (and our superfriend) Jillian Lanier exploded into the spotlight last Saturday at Williamsburg Fashion Weekend at Glasslands. Her Fall 2010 collection features wearable, fun, funky, bohemian ladies clothes. (She also makes killer fresh men's tees and sweaters.) Contact her for custom orders on Esty!
The show featured a group of unique, foxy women (including Miss Strawberry of Planet Rump!) all breaking it down on stage to Great Tiger's new mixtape [free download].
Check out the full Jillian Lanier show below!
The after party was the BOMB. Planet Rump was in full effect: DJ Tantric tore it up on the ones and twos, and Nasty Ness killed the mic! DJ Coverboy rocked the party hard all the way til closing. Photos and videos coming soon!

New Chromeo album "Business Casual" is SOLID GOLD
"Business Casual" turns it out! Even more solid gold 80s electro funk from Chromeo. Zapp & Roger are smiling down on these two. But don't take our word for it, try it on for size on NPR's First Listen (until Oct. 4), then buy it direct from Chromeo here!

New Nite Club videos: pure genius
We just love Nite Club, and especially Richie, the brains and soul behind the music. His recent album My Tronic is a masterpiece of break-beat electro-funk with sincere, angelic vocals. He just released these two awesome videos: check em out, then cop the album!
The first is for Time Fighter, created from computer models of star events and graphics of universal appeal. Wayyy cool, and of course, fits the beat and lyrics.
The second is for BK Nights, as uses YouTube videos of sick graffiti stop motion animations by Tant & Unga and a collaboration by Blu & David Ellis.
